Respondents were asked: Thinking back to just before you got pregnant with your new baby how did you feel about becoming pregnant?
Mothers who chose the answers : [(b)I wanted to be pregnant sooner or (c) I wanted to be pregnant then] were classified as INTENDED PREGNANCY.
Those who chose [(a)I wanted to be pregnant later or (d)I did not want to be pregnant then or at any time in the future] were classified UNINTENDED PREGNANCY.
Those who reported [(e)I was not sure what I wanted] were listed as WAS NOT SURE.

The overall weighted response rate in 2015 was 51%. It fell short of the 55% rate that PRAMS has regarded as the epidemiologically valid threshold.

*** This estimate was suppressed because it did not meet statistical reliability standards

#Use caution in interpreting cell sizes less than 50.
N = Cell Size, % = Percentage, C.I.(95%) = Confidence Interval (at 95 percent probability level).
The percentages shown are weighted percentages, designed to reflect the entire population of North Carolina women having a live birth.
