Publications Frequently Asked Questions
- How to request a printed publication from
the State Center for Health Statistics.
Due to resource constraints, printed copies of SCHS publications are limited
to our mailing list and selected libraries. To make our publications more
widely available, we are putting selected ones on this Web site. Please use
the Search Tool to find the information
you need. It's easy to download and print the information from your computer...
and it's available immediately.
You can also check the North Carolina
library system, which can direct you to libraries, such as a health
sciences library or a North Carolina federal depository library, that receive
our publications.
- I'm not sure the publication contains the
information I need. How can I find out?
First, access the publication through our
Publications site. It may contain a summary or highlights page. If you
still have questions, call or email us to talk with someone. If you decide you want the paper version, then
access and print it through our Publications
site or request it through the library
system. Published supplies are limited, and once exhausted, they are gone -
except for the libraries.
- How to view and download SCHS publications
Publications are in .pdf format to make reading and printing easier. You will
need to download the free software
Adobe Acrobat Reader to view or print these publications. If you receive an error message,
please verify that you have the most recent version of the Reader.
